Western Grebe spends their summers nesting and raising their young in inland fresh water marshes. This seabird spends most of its time in the mornings diving under water and chasing minnows and sometimes larger fish to eat or feed their young and in the midday sun they curled up laying their head on their bodies to rest they look like donuts floating in the pond.
