Piazza San Marco Venice Italy

Considered by many as the most beautiful, romantic and unique city on earth, I must agree, should be on every travelers bucket list. This gallery of photos is a sample of San Marco which is the main square or piazza of Venice. You can buy a Rolex for thirty thousand euros or a gelato for two or three euros. Or pay an exhorbitant amount to sip coffee in a place to be seen. There are many shops and restaurants off the piazza and heading towards the Rialto. There is much atmosphere day and night.

This vista image of the piazza shows how popular it is. Crowds gather to gain entry to the Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs (right), Saint Mark's Church (right background) and the Campanile tower (left). The clock tower (back centre) is a popular meeting place and the archway leads to the Rialto. The main quadrangle is to the left of the Campanile and is shown in the fourth image.
