Machinery - Old Farm Machines.
Driving through outback Northern Territory, I came across Barkly Homestead which is a caravan and truck stop. I found these old rusty farm wheels and steam tractors at the front of the homestead and early one morning photographed them. These amazing machines were once used on the fields and paddocks of Australian farms. They were imported from either United States of America or England.
The Eagles' Nests Trail of Castles, Poland
Travelling on an overcast day from Czestochowa towards Krakow and with the sun only sometimes peering through the clouds it was not a preferred time to visit the medieval castles on that trail. Often built by the kings and noblemen to defend the borders, they are an important part of the history and also a great tourist attraction. So I felt they deserve to be included in the series of my images from Poland.
Birds - Aquatic 5.
The Australian Pelican - Pelecanus conspicillatus is a large Australian waterbird which looks graceful, whether soaring through the air or paddling on the water.
Singapore is a compact, diverse pocket of South East Asia. It's variety and efficient transport system mean that the visitor can take in Chinese and Indian heritage, ultra modern architecture, 5 star dining and 5 star street food all in a single day.
Animals - Farm - Sheep and Cattle.
I have images of sheep before giving birth to their offspring and then tending their newborn lambs as well as cute lambs at play and resting. Cattle are also included with supplementary feeding in a paddock and drinking at a water trough, both just after a drought had broken but before the farm paddocks started producing feed. More images are available to view by either searching or viewing my complete collection.
Agriculture - Cane Harvesting.
Large tractor-like machines are driven from the sugar cane harvest area in the field to fill tiny carriages, parked on a siding in a farm paddock. Then a tiny train pulls the harvested sugar cane filled carriages to a nearby mill for processing.
Noumea in New Caledonia
In 1774, James Cook, on board his ship Resolution, discovered a large island in the South Pacific that he named 'New Caledonia', as it reminded him of Scotland. Today, New Caledonia is a country of great contrasts, combining a distinctive Melanesian culture with South Pacific charm and a modern European lifestyle. Outlying islands such as the Isle of Pines and Amadee Island can be reached by sea and air.
Aboriginal Employment Women
Aboriginal women work in a variety of roles in their home communities and large centres. Many work as interpreters, managers and administrators for large organisations and government, while others prefer to work outdoors as rangers or in nurseries gathering and growing native plants that are often used for revegetation projects.
Kakadu plum is native to northern Australia and has been collected and eaten by Indigenous people for thousands of years - it is known for its health benefits. Western science has found the fruits - also known as billy-goat plum, mimarral and gubinge - has the highest levels of vitamin C and anti-oxidants in the world. Several Aboriginal communities have begun gathering the fruit to sell to multinational health and beauty companies.

Australia has an amazing assortment of wildlife, ranging from the rare and exotic to the kangaroo and emu shown on our national crest. In addition there are hundreds of different birds and mammals. Many can be seen either close to or even in our cities, particularly our colourful birds. This is a small selection from my photographic archives.

Temple Square in Salt Lake City
This is the most popular tourist attraction in Utah, but to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often called mormons, it is their religious centre. The area includes the Salt Lake Temple, the Tabernacle, Assembly Hall, the Church Office Building, the Conference Center and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, which houses a Family Search Center.
Flowers grown in gardens are usually brightly coloured, often multi-coloured and with large blooms. Many are annuals but some live on for year after year. It doesn't matter where in the world you go, the same flowers keep reappearing - from Australia to Romania, Fiji to Hong Kong to Morocco.
In Bondi and Manly, Syndey boasts two of the worlds finest and most famous beaches. In summer they swarm with locals and tourists who come to swim, surf or just soak up the sun.

Okefenokee Swamp, Georgia
Because of wildfires and drought, I had not been able to take a trip to the Okefenokee Swamp located in Georgia. The swamp is the largest "blackwater" swamp in the United States. This is due to the high peat content, which creates a rich black tannic acid. Because to the near blackness of the water, the reflections along the canal are near mirror perfect. It is quite amazing to be kayaking or canoeing all day among the alligators, not setting foot on dry land for days on end.

Marrakesh or Marrakech, is a historic city going back centuries as a trading centre for camel trains of the Sahara, the Berbers of the nearby Atlas mountains and the traders of the Middle East. Today, the old medina, or souk, remains a bustling place of trade for tourists and locals alike while many of the traditional riad houses have been turned into B&B-like accommodation for tourists. The red city can overload the senses so beware!
The south coast town of Narooma has its own charm as well as being the hub of beautiful beaches and picturesque coast.
High Atlas Mountains in Morocco
The High Atlas Mountains are home to the Berbers, the traditional inhabitants, with a lifestyle that still has many features from centuries ago:- earthen houses, groves of walnuts, irrigation channels that are fed from melting snow, using mules to transport goods and tracks that meander around the mountainsides. Not only is it an opportunity to experience a fascinating history but also to see how the 21st century is impacting both on it and the natural environment on which it is built.

Aboriginal Communities NT
Remote Aboriginal communities are spread right across the Northern Territory - in bushland and along the coast in Arnhem Land, in the central deserts and offshore islands. The small townships are dynamic areas with inhabitants who look after vast tracts of land as part of their traditional indigenous commitments. Outstations are at the heart of these land management obligations and essential for continuing culture.
Aboriginal people work in a variety of businesses on their communities - from forestry projects to pastoral properties, mining and construction as well as running many of the day-to-day programs that keep their townships running smoothly.
Tangalooma Wrecks, Moreton Island
Tanglooma Wrecks is made up of 15 vessels deliberately sunk to make a breakwall for smaller craft in around 1963. The wrecks are located a short walk up the beach from Tangalooma Island Resort. They are close enough to swim out to from the beach, though there are strong currents at times. The wrecks have provided a wonderful habitat for fish life, including crayfish and resident wobbegongs. They sit only a few meters under the water and therefore make excellent snorkelling adventures.
Main Courses, JJ Bistro
Enjoy the images of Laotian-French fusion fine dining food notable for taste and presentation. The main courses include seafood (salmon, scallops, shrimp), poultry (hen or chicken), vegetables (red peppers, eggplant, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots), sauces, pastry, and long spring of fresh rosemary garnish. The splendid cuisine offers harmonious flavors and illustrates the fine craft of chef JJ Praseuth Luangkhot of JJ Bistro and French Pastry in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.
Bhutan is very different to the other countries of south Asia with its low population density, tree-clad mountains and a traditional lifestyle that has been maintained by the country's rulers. Today cell phones and the internet may have arrived but still people wear the traditional gho and farm traditional crops. The country's focus on the environment and gross national happiness is evident where-ever you travel in Bhutan.

Tigers Nest monastery in Bhutan
Tiger's Nest Monastery or Taktshang Goemba, or Paro Taktsang, is one of the symbols of Bhutan. Located in the Paro Valley, not far from the international airport, was originally built in 1692 but has had to be rebuilt after a fire destroyed it in 1998. This Himalayan Buddhist temple complex involves a trek up the mountainside to reach it, although part of the trek can be made on horseback if so desired .

Tibet - Lhasa and surrounds stock images
Lhasa is the capital of Tibet. This group of photos captures the aspects of the city that focus on the people, the Buddhist culture and the buildings associated with the Buddhist faith. Lhasa is a city of wonders and is the object of devout pilgrimage. The Potala Palace and Jokhang are two prominent sights but there are many places and people that catch the eye and interest. The city has 3 koras (pilgramage circuits), the Nangkhor, Barkhor and Lingkhor. There are many other Bhuddist temples.
Broome and Kimberley region
Broome is famous for its pearling industry and is a major tourist destination in the north of Western Australia, 2200km north of Perth. Highlights of the region are the town itself with its historic links to the pearling industry, Chinatown and places such as Cable Beach where camel rides, particularly as the sun sets, are hugely popular. Within the region are wonderful attractions like Geikie Gorge and Cape Leveque plus Aboriginal settlments like Lombadina.
Beach Shells and Seagrass
Sea shells and seagrass washed up on a beach with shadows highlighting contours of some shells. These images are very different and would be great for interior decoration, especially in a holiday home at the beach or a city apartment, where it could be a reminder of the coastal lifestyle. A real talking point!
