I will be visiting the west coast of the United States of America between December 26th, 2011 and January 3rd, 2012: San Francisco, San Jose, Campbell, and Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe.
San Francisco is the cultural, financial, and transportation center, one of the mostly densely settled large cities in the United States. It fronts the Pacific Ocean, and it is one of the top tourist destinations in the world, famous for its chilly summer fog, steep hills, the mix of architecture, Golden Gate Bridge, and cable cars.
San Jose is a capital of Silicon Valley, known for booming local technology, and is the third-largest city in California. Kings Beach is a town on the north shore of Lake Tahoe with small population, and very near Northstar, a popular ski resort. Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada located along the border between California and Nevada. It is the largest alpine lake in North America, and the second deepest in the U.S. It is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides, and it is a major tourist attraction in Nevada and California. During the winter months, it is home to a number of ski resorts which is a significant contributor to the area’s economy and reputation.
I am available for assignments during my stay, and will photograph any area of interest.
