The Grey Fantail, young male 'Rhipidura fuliginosa'

The Grey Fantail 'Rhipidura fuliginosa' is a small insect eating bird common in all parts of Australia except the western desert areas. It can also be found in New Guinea, New Zealand, the Solomon Islands, in Vanuatu and New Caledonia. This bird is always on the go, scouting for flying insects, which make up the bulk of their diet. They have a similar 'tweet-like' call to some grass wrens, and are very noisy and bold little birds.
