Sea Turtles

Bare Sand Island in Bynoe Harbour is a prime nesting area for flatback turtles in northern Australia. The marine reptiles lay more than 500,000 eggs a year on the island, of which about two percent survive. Graham Weston and Lisa Fitzgerald search for babies that hatched but were unable to dig their way out of the nest.
