Linaker Art Deco Nurses Quartes is set on a slight rise and shaded by the heritage trees and varieties of other plants. The building was home to the nurses caring for patients of the Lunatic Asylum. The Asylum operated from the mid 1860s until 1995. For a time, the 20 hectares property was a home of La Trobe university (Melbourne) until sold in 2013.
