Chinese Lantern 11

These Chinese Lanterns were hung for the Lantern Festival that marks the end of the Chinese Spring Festival. Lanterns are symbolic of good fortune and happiness and are usually red. They started off relatively simple but over the centuries, Chinese lanterns have become more complicated and multi-coloured. These lanterns were hung in Yu Gardens In Shanghai.
