Harbour Seals On a Log Boom

These Pacific harbour seals ( Phoca vitulina richards) are sunning themselves on a log boom in Burrard Inlet near Vancouver, Canada. Harbour seals are the most common of all temperate water seals. The adults may reach a length of 1.6 to 1.9 metres in length and weigh from 60 to 120 kg.
