Fuel Refinery and Tank Farm in Burrard Inlet

The shoreline of Burrard Inlet includes residential and commercial areas including railcards, shipping terminals, grain elevators, and oil refineries. 250 commercial vehicles traverse these waters each month including four oil tankers to the Kindermorgan Westridge Marine Terminal and carrying crude oil back out to the Pacific. The area has become the central point of a heated environmental battle over twinning the Transmountain pipeline carrying oil to the area and environmentalists who poin.
